A little boy wanted to earn $100. He tried several different ways to earn the money, but it was just taking too long.
After going to church one Sunday morning, the little boy decided to pray for the money. After two weeks – the young man’s prayers had still not been answered. So he decided to write a letter to God, asking for the money.
When the letter addressed to God was received by the post office – after some discussion, they decided to forward it to the President of The United States.
The President received the letter, thought about the request, and then decided to send the boy $50 – assuming that $50 would seem like quite a bit of money to the young man.
Upon receiving the envelope with the $50, the young boy decided to write a “Thank You” note to God.
It read:
Dear God,
Thank you very much for granting my prayer and sending the money. However, I noticed that the letter was postmarked in Washington, DC.
If it wouldn’t be too much trouble, would you mind not sending it through Washington next time?
Those government bureaucrats took half – just like normal.
