One of my favorite Christmas memories centers around the best Christmas Shirt that I ever owned. On the front of the shirt was a cartoon drawing by Leigh Rubin.
Since I don’t have permission to actually put the picture of the shirt on the blog today, I will describe it and send you to Leigh’s website.
The cartoon was a sweet Christmas picture. The main character focus of the shirt was Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Rudolph was sitting comfortably in a chair. He had a nice glass of wine in his left hand. He had his reading glasses on and was reading the book, A Christmas Carol. He was obviously enjoying a quiet moment alone in the holiday season.
In the background, you noticed a rifle leaning against a wall.
Above that rifle, you see eight mounted reindeer heads. Below the heads were small plaques with the names, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen.
The caption at the bottom of the shirt read,
“All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names.”
I loved that shirt!
