A Mother’s Leadership

I always knew my mother was a leader.  Although, she didn’t have many leadership roles in her working life, she definitely acquired those roles at home.  For much of my life, she was a single mother.  She worked hard and kept food on the table.  She provided a home for me, my sister and my cousin who was raised to be my brother.  Her life was not easy, but she accepted the responsibilities and did the best she could.

The older I get, the more I appreciate what she did for all of us.

On Mothers Day, one of my new favorite authors, Roberta Matuson had a great post on leadership lessons from a mother’s perspective.  Take a few minutes to read this.  It will be well worth your time.

Enjoy!
